This poor dog was LITERALLY on death's door, and now he's making a tremendous comeback. As you might have seen, he was shot, and had a few other horrendous things done to him. But because of the incredible work at Paws of New England and Memphis Animal Services, he's starting to recover! We already donated to help cover his medical bills, and are going to continue to send him and the rescue goodies! Thanks for being part of the community and helping this sweet boy out!

Out of all the causes/rescues that we raise money for, this one hits home the clostest for me. It's probably because I've lost 2 dogs to cancer, and have too many friends that have as well.
Sometimes it seems like there's nothing we can do, but organizations like the National Canine Cancer Foundation and the KetoPet Sanctuary give us hope.
They're doing cutting edge research every day and providing us pet owners with information that could maybe extend the lives of our best friends.
The reality is, if I go on too long I'll just break down, so I have to cut it short!

Meet Lemon, a year old terrier mix!
Don't let the name fool you! I'm far from being a sour pup! I have loads of energy, so I'll need the right home to help with that. I'm great with all dogs and am a doggie playgroup rockstar. Hey I'm Ziggy and I'm a young pup full of energy! I love to exercise and might need a bit of training on how to walk nicely on leash. One of my favorite activities is chasing small, furry creatures (squirrel!) and anything on wheels! I have more fun playing with bigger dogs, and I get along well with my big pup friends here at the rescue. Although I am partially blind and have a wobbly walk, I am still full of energy and love affection and playtime! I am very handsome! I LOVE other dogs and would do well in a home with another dog to help show me the way! I really love rope toys and would benefit from clicker training. I'm becoming more confident and would benefit from structure and routine because of my blindness.

Take your time with me and I will show you how open, sweet, loyal and adventurous I can be. I also do these amazing spins that are to die for! I have a little face with big, brown puppy eyes. They're hard to resist! That being said, I get along well with other small dogs, so I wouldn't mind having canine siblings. My friends here at Adopt & Shop say I'm a great walker on leash and love to play with toys. I love to cuddle but I'm also still up for a good, long hike!
